About the Expo
Our mission is to support the health and well-being of all children and their primary parent – mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, or other guardians – and promote education, inclusivity, independence, mindfulness, kindness, and success for all.

Hi Everyone,Â
As a single mom, I know how hard it is to find the resources we need to provide for ourselves and our families. I know how lonely it can be and I know how defeated, hopeless, and frustrated it can make us feel. From what I’ve heard from countless other single moms, they feel the same way – especially the feeling of wanting to give our children the security and happiness they deserve.
Doing better for our children starts with taking better care of ourselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. Our stability provides the foundation for building better lives for our children. And we can all do better when we’re not constantly stressed out, depressed, and searching for solutions that seem so hard to find.
The concept for the Single Mom Expo sprang from thoughts about what I wish was available for me, my daughter, and other families like ours. Somewhere I could go to find all the answers in one place. And despite the name, the expo is for anyone navigating parenthood on their own – single mothers, fathers, grandparents, and all other special caregivers and guardians.   Â
My hope is that the Single Mom Expo will bring some answers and much needed resources to single moms and their children and help families move up from survival mode. Maybe you need help finding affordable housing, applying for food stamps or better options for childcare. Maybe you have questions about how to get your GED, job training, or start taking college classes. Or maybe you want to look into therapy for you or your children and explore resources for mental health support.  Â
These are only a handful of resources I plan to have at the expo, along with hundreds of local businesses who are committed to serving the needs of single moms and their families. I welcome your ideas and suggestions for who to invite to our event and I invite you to reach out if you’d like to get involved with planning and managing the event. We’re all stronger together than we are on our own. We deserve better, and so do our kids. Â
From all of us working here to produce and promote the expo, thank you for your support.
